Berlin, March 2. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz urged China on Thursday not to hand over arms to Russia and to use its influence on Moscow to end the war in Ukraine, which is to be relied on for a possible peace agreement .
“Do not hand over any weapons to the Russian aggressor,” Scholz said in an official statement to the Bundestag (German parliament’s lower house) about China, calling on him to use his influence over Moscow to secure the withdrawal of the Russian troops in Ukraine.
In his speech, Scholz insisted that a peace agreement will not be possible if it “goes over the heads of Ukrainian men and women”. EFE
