Tom Sizemore He is in critical condition after suffering a brain aneurysm, a representative said Sunday for the actor who starred in films including ‘Saving Private Ryan’, ‘Heat’ and ‘Black Hawk Down’.
The 61-year-old actor suffered the aneurysm around 2 a.m. Saturday at his home in Los Angeles. He was hospitalized in intensive careadded his manager, Charles Lago, who described Sizemore’s condition as “a waiting situation”.
“His family is aware and awaiting updates,” Lago said of the 61-year-old actor. “There are no future updates at this time.”
People magazine commented that Sizemore shared her latest Instagram update over the weekend and was apparently scheduled to give a weekly acting class on Saturday at 1 p.m. (local time) at Harvelle’s Nightclub in Los Angeles.
Sizemore had a history of substance abuse and run-ins with the police.
The actor was declared guilty of domestic violence in 2003 against his girlfriend, Heidi Fleiss. In 2006, he did not contest a charge of using methamphetamine outside a motel. sizemore was stopped in Los Angeles in 2009 for alleged assault on an ex-spouse, and again in 2011 for the same crime.
In 2018, a 26-year-old actress filed a lawsuit against Sizemore, alleging he abused her during production of the movie ‘Natural Born Killers’ when she was 11. Sizemore denied this and the suit was later dismissed.
In a 2021 interview with Fox News, Sizemore shared his intentions to get sober: “I’ve been trying to get sober since 1991…I’ve had a problem for a long time. I’ve had periods, long periods, sobriety and I ended up relapsing”, he explained then.
Throughout his career, Sizemore has appeared in popular films such as born killers from 1994, Heat from 1995, Saving Private Ryan from 1998, Black Hawk Down from 2001, wearing pearls from 2001 and even worked on television with the revival of twin peaks In 2017 .
The Detroit-born actor also dabbled in voice acting as the man behind Sonny Forelli in Grand Theft Auto Vice City 2002 for Playstation 2, Xbox and Windows. His character was mobster boss Tommy Vercetti, voiced by Ray Liotta.
The American media recalled that Sizemore was nominated for a Golden Satellite Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe, among other awards.
