On Date 2 of Group H of the 2023 CONCACAF Under-17 Championship tournament, Haiti picked up a comfortable 3-0 win over Suriname. The visitor’s goals were scored by Sébastien Joseph (7′ 2T), Schneilorens Lebrun (11′ 2T) and Samuel Lamare (37′ 2T).

Sébastien Joseph was the figure of the party. The Haitian midfielder scored 1 goal, made 7 correct passes and shot 5 times on target.

Another relevant player in the game was Rikanel Chery. The Haitian defender was important by winning 3 balls and throwing 7 balls out of the danger zone.

With a dirty game, the match played between the two teams stood out. There were several warned: Ichael Dalfour, Luckson Blaise, Schneilorens Lebrun and Rikanel Chery.

For their part, those led by Jean Baptiste Angelo stopped with a 4-5-1 pattern with Tony Algarin under the three sticks; Clarence Jean Gilles, Luckson Blaise, Rikanel Chery and Andreson Joseph in defence; Kaief Tomlison, Bretous Julian, Victor Joseph, Sébastien Joseph and Schneilorens Lebrun in midfield; and Bryan Destin up front.

The judge selected for the match at Pensativo Stadium was Christopher Mason.

Suriname will host El Salvador in the next round. Likewise, Haiti will play as a visitor against Honduras.
