Two 24-year-old men and a 4-year-old minor were murdered and two other minors were shot dead by hitmen in Cataño, a municipality near San Juan, Puerto Rico police reported Tuesday. .

According to information provided by the authorities, a call at 7:30 p.m. (2330 GMT) to the 911 emergency system alerted the police to people with gunshot wounds on an avenue in front of the Jardines de Cataño public residence.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of a man identified as 24-year-old Johnny Jay Osorio García on the ground, who had gunshot wounds that caused his death.
In relation to these events, another man, identified as Jesús Carrasquillo Alicea, also 24 years old, was taken to the Cataño Diagnostic and Treatment Center without vital signs.
In addition, three minors, aged 4, 9 and 10, were shot dead at the scene.
However, it was reported that the child under 4 years old was transported in critical condition to the Río Piedras Medical Center (San Juan), where he was treated by doctor Cristina Joy, who certified his death in the first Tuesday morning hours. .
At the scene, .40 caliber casings, 7.62 x 39, and a Honda Accord vehicle were seized.
