For some time there has been a joke among Mexicans that in the Private schools students tend to have a somewhat disconnected perception of reality, so a user on social networks decided to seek answers about this theory and went to two schools: one private and another public to ask students questions about extreme poverty.

He was the influencer identified as Fino (@soymirrey) In ICT Tac who went to the Anahuac University of Mérida to speak with the students.

“I’m in one of the coolest universities in Mexico, also in one of the most prestigious and I will discoverr if you know what extreme poverty is and that they give me ideas to get out of it”, introduced the young man.

So, after interviewing a few students, several of them agreed that – from their point of view – one way to stop being poor would be to work more.

“Work, work, don’t give up”. “Working and preparing for the future, moving forward and making investments,” they said.

Similarly, other interviewees elaborated on the fact that they considered that if they were in a situation of economic vulnerability, they could start as traders.

But a young woman caused a great controversy, because after pointing out that she “I would sell cookies”the interviewer asked him, “Where would you buy the ingredients if you don’t have the money?”

To this, the student replied bluntly:Ah, I would ask my parents for money”.

Similarly, another student mentioned that she “I would invent a companysomething innovative, which doesn’t exist” and another claimed that she would marry someone with money.

The comments were not long in coming and several Internet users were surprised by the opinions of young people.

“Those of the Anahuac with answers of the type: ‘are you sad? So don’t be sad. “How easy it is to see those born in a cradle of gold.” “Make investments when you barely need to eat. “Those of Anahuac are the ones who end up in positions of power and so all the chaos is perpetuated,” were some of the mentions.

After chatting with Anahuac students, the influencer headed to the Autonomous University of Yucatan to ask the same questions.

Regarding how she could get out of extreme poverty if she found herself in this situation, one student pointed out: “It would be very difficult because it is something that the government itself perpetuates, systems have been created that limit access to certain groups so that they can get out of poverty”.

Similarly, another scholar pointed out: “Poverty does not have to be economic, it can also be intellectual, there are people who surprise you”.

Moreover, the same young woman pointed out regarding the question of how to get out of poverty:

“I think there are two factors: one is within you, you can work, the lack of education, knowledge… but you can’t say either, he’s poor because he wants to be, because it really is a mistake. There are things that put people in different situations, so I think it also requires the support of society to come out of those differences,” he said, adding:

They focus a lot on privileged areas, they always go to those who have and give them more, if the government would work more on their ideas in those that are really needed and not where it’s going to look good, on a cover, that would change a lot.

Once again, Internet users have given their opinion on the question and have agreed with certain opinions expressed by the students of this public establishment.

“You can see that public school students are better prepared. “The difference in responses is immense,” they said.
