On the other hand, the Idiger detailed the rainfall that will occur in various areas in the south of the city and which will extend into the night.

Given the increase in precipitation in recent days, the Ministry of Mobility has asked motorists to prioritize safety when driving on wet ground and to have the following recommendations:

  • Take it to the next level.
  • Brake smoothly and gradually, as the braking distance increases due to the wet surface.
  • Constantly check the vehicle’s lights, to be visible to other road actors.
  • Check the condition and pressure of the tires, because with the rain they can lose their grip on the road.
  • Avoid roads where there are oil stains, taking into account that they could cause vehicles such as motorcycles to slide, causing an accident on the road.
  • Check the condition of the brakes, as rain can excessively wet the discs and form a liquid layer between them and the pad.
  • Avoid sudden movements or maneuvers, as the grip with wet asphalt is less.
  • Avoid crossing flooded areas, as obstacles may be present below them.
