The Ministry of the Interior reported through a statement that the National Migration Institute identified the departure of Miguel Alemán Magnani from Mexico on January 31, 2021.

“The National Migration Institute (INM) registered, on January 31, 2021, the last departure from the country of Miguel Alemán Magnani, from the Toluca International Airport,” the statement said.

It also reports the immigration alert to the name of the Mexican magnate, after a judge issued an arrest warrant against him, at the request of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), for his probable responsibility in the crime of tax fraud.

According to the statement, “the foregoing, with the purpose of verifying, registering and informing the law enforcement authorities about the entry-exit movements of the aforementioned person, through the 194 points of internment by air, sea or land. of the national territory”.

On July 8, the FGR issued an arrest warrant against the businessman Miguel Alemán Magnani, accusing him of tax fraud.

According to information released by the journalist Javier Tejado Dondé, in his column for the newspaper The universal, some days ago the arrest of the businessman was ordered, for tax fraud, in a amount close to 65 million pesos.

Tejado Dondé said that sources from the Council of the Federal Judicature confirmed that a federal judge granted the order against the grandson of former president Miguel Alemán Valdés and son of former Veracruz governor Miguel Alemán Velasco.

Miguel Aleman Velasco, Almemán Magnani’s father, was saved from having an order against him for two reasons: his age, since he is currently 89 years old, and that the government needs a person with whom to negotiate, and above all, to pay what they are owed , according to the journalist’s column.

German Magnani is president of German Group and former president of Board of Directors of the airline Interjet. The businessman was left out of said airline in December 2020, after his financial situation Interjet arouse suspicion when the organization Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI) disclosed a debt of more than 3,000 million pesos, that is, about 150 million dollars, to some federal estates.

After this, the airline marked the information as “imprecise” and at the time assured that the pending payments had already been made in a timely manner, but that in April of last year it confirmed an agreement with the Tax Administration Service (SAT).

In November 2020, Raquel Buenrostro, head of the Tax Administration Service (SAT), assured that Interjet had a structural financial problem with the agency that it has headed since 2013, due to VAT and ISR withholdings.

Last February, it was announced that the Ministry of Finance, through the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, filed a complaint for possible tax fraud against ABC Airlines, Interjet controller, Miguel Alemán Velasco and Miguel Alemán Magnani, president and vice president of the company, respectively, for not disclosing to the treasury 66 million 285,195 pesos of taxes withheld for salaries.

The complaint, which was presented by the Attorney General’s Office, was supported by the testimony of a person who said he worked for the company, and who denounced that the airline did not pay ISR to the Treasury between 2018 and 2020, even when it made the discount to the workers, as established by law.
