Brazilian influencer Luana Andrade, 29, died after suffering several complications after undergoing liposuction a few days ago at a private hospital in Sao Paulo.

The model suffered a cardiac arrest two and a half hours after the cosmetic surgery began on Tuesday. A statement issued by Hospital São Luiz said: “The surgery was interrupted and the patient underwent tests that revealed a massive thrombosis. She was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, where she received medication and hemodynamic treatment”.
The hospital stressed that “every effort” had been made to save Luana Andrade, who worked as an assistant for a television program on the SBT network and also owned a clothing brand, but she died at 5:30 a.m. local time. “The cause of death was a massive pulmonary embolism. Hospital São Luiz do Itaim deeply regrets the passing of the patient and sympathizes with the family.”
On Instagram, Joao Hadad, the influencer’s boyfriend, posted a photo of the two in Paris with the poignant message, “I’m shattered and living my worst nightmare. A part of me is gone. With much regret and much pain in my heart, I say goodbye to my Luana, my princess, my beautiful one.”
Joao Hadad added: “It was two years by your side and I don’t have words to express how happy I was…. We built a beautiful story and lived our dreams intensely. Besides being your girlfriend, you are and will always be a companion for life, my love. Today it is hard to understand God’s plans, and I don’t know when and if I will ever process how much I will miss you in my life and in the lives of a legion of people who loved your presence. You are my light, princess. I ask that you continue to watch over me and all of us from above. I will always love you, from now until eternity!”.
