The family put themselves in danger to watch over their loved one. They carried the coffin through the Casitas ravine to Tumbes.

In Tumbes, one of the regions hit by the rains generated by Cyclone Yaku, a group of victims risked their lives crossing the flow of the Casitas-Bocapán Creekin the province of Contralmirante Villar, carrying the coffin of his relative.

The nine hamlets of small houses which continue to be isolated are Tacna Libre, Bellavista, Cherrelique, La Choza, Cienego Norte, Cienego Sur, Chicama, El Cardo in the upper part and Averías in the lower part.

To date, the Center for Emergency Operations (COEN) has reported that there is a record of at least 12,000 victims and 45,000 citizens affected by the rains in all of northern Peru.
