PNP inspection acquits 11 police officers over Inti and Bryan’s deaths

By a document from the General Inspectorate of the National Police of Peru (PNP)as of February 10, 2023, we learn that 11 agents of this establishment indicted for the death of young people have been acquitted Inti Sotelo there Bryan Paintedwho participated in the March November 14 of 2020 in the Center of Lima, demanding the resignation of Manuel Merino from the Presidency of the Republic.

According to the resolution No. 04-2023-IGPNP/SEC, no evidence has been found to prove that the officers committed the serious offenses alleged against the police department. PNP Lieutenant General Segundo Mejía Montenegro was in charge of the case and questioned the accused officers.

The name of Lieutenant General PNP Jorge Lam Almonteformer deputy general commander of the establishment, is on the list of persons acquitted by the General inspection. The command was the person in charge of ordering the preparation of the plan of operations which he carried out on November 14, the day they lost their lives unexpectedly. Inti and Bryan.

General Cayas Medina was assigned the aforementioned offense G-38, in addition to MG-52 (deliberately contravening established operational and administrative procedures) and G-26 (non-compliance with directives, regulations, procedural guides and protocols causing serious damage to legal property).
