The National Health Commission of China announced today the detection of 41 new positives of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 this Friday, of which 2 were produced by local contagion in the city of Harbin, in the northern province of Heilongjiang.

The remaining 39 cases were detected among foreign travelers in Yunnan (south, 14 cases), Shanghai (east, 9), Hunan (center, 4), Tianjin (east, 3), Guangzhou (south, 3), Henan ( center, 2), Liaoning (northeast, 1), Zhejiang (east, 1), Sichuan (center, 1), Shaanxi (center, 1).

The health authorities also reported today the detection of 2 cases of asymptomatic infection by local contagion (one in Heilongjiang and another in Yunnan) and 17 asymptomatic cases “imported”From abroad, although Beijing does not count them as confirmed cases unless they show symptoms.

The total of this type of infections under observation is 352, of which 341 come from other territories.

The National Health Commission also detailed that, until last local midnight (16:00 GMT on Friday), 43 patients were discharged after successfully overcoming the covid.

The total number of active infected in mainland China amounts to 890, 4 of which are serious.

According to the accounts of the institution, since the beginning of the pandemic, 96,203 people have been infected in the country, among which 90,677 have managed to heal and 4,636 died.

To date, 1,200,303 close contacts with infected people have been followed up, of which 28,697 are still under observation.
