The National Health Commission of China reported today the detection of 32 new positives of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 this Saturday, of which 4 were produced by local contagion.

These 4 local infections were located in the municipality of Shanghai (east, 3) and in the eastern province of Jiangsu (1), the focus of the last small outbreak in the Asian country.

For the remaining 28 cases, foreign travelers were diagnosed in the municipalities of Shanghai (east, 9), Beijing (1) and Tianjin (northeast, 1), and in the provinces of Yunnan (south, 7), Canton (southeast, 6), Hubei (center, 2), Henan (center, 1) and Sichuan (center, 1).

The health authorities also reported today the detection of 19 new asymptomatic infections, all “imported”, although Beijing does not count them as confirmed cases unless they manifest symptoms.

The total of this type of infections under observation is 508, of which 421 come from other territories.

Likewise, the National Health Commission detailed that, until last local midnight (16:00 GMT on Saturday), 70 patients were discharged after successfully overcoming the covid, while 3 managed to get out of the state of gravity.

Thus, the total number of active infected in mainland China stood at 1,748, 30 of which are serious.

According to the accounts of the institution, since the beginning of the pandemic 94,631 people have been infected in the country, among which 88,247 have managed to heal and 4,636 died.

To date, 1,157,386 close contacts with infected people have been followed up, of which 37,918 continue to be observed.
