The former governor celebrated the decision on his social media (Senate)

The Eighth District Amparo Court granted amparo and court protection to the former governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco Javier Garcia Cabeza de Vacatherefore the arrest warrant against him for his alleged involvement in crimes of organized crime and money laundering would have no effect.

This was announced by the ex-president himself, who through his official Twitter account pointed out that, “once again”, Mexican justice gave him the reason on the proceedings he has initiated against the warrant of arrest which has been issued against him.

According to the reporter he offered, the activist also from the National Action Party (PAN) ruled that the judge had announced that there would be no evidence of his involvement in illicit money laundering or organized crime . The foregoing led him to assert that the proceedings against him “They have been illegal and unconstitutional.”

“Yesterday, once again, justice gave me reason. A federal judge resolved an amparo stating that there is no indication of suspected money laundering, let alone organized crime. The arrest warrant issued against me has always been illegal and unconstitutional,” it read on February 28.

In addition to the above, the message shared by the PAN member was accompanied by the statement issued by the law firm Ruíz Durán – in charge of his defense – where they announced that during the hearing held the day before all the implications of the case have been analyzedeven since the jurisdiction of the governor’s investiture has been defended.

“Yesterday, February 27, 2023, a district judge in amparo matters granted amparo and the protection of federal justice to our client Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca, leaving the arrest warrant issued against him non-existent on October 4 2022”

First, the lawyers explained that the judge who had analyzed the alleged money laundering scheme in a commercial operation for the purchase and sale of an apartment of which García Cabeza de Vaca was accused was lawful.

Similarly, according to the text, the authority considered that the Attorney General of the Republic (RFG) so-called distorted information and hidden data of evidence to the supervising judge “for the purpose of making unlawful acts appear as a complex money laundering scheme”, which is why the arrest warrant was issued.
