The Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, Camilleon Monday canceled engagements he had scheduled for this week after testing positive for covid, Buckingham Palace reported in a statement.
An official spokesperson for the King’s official residence in London had previously claimed that the wife of Charles III75, suspended his visits on Tuesday after contracting a “seasonal illness”even if he assured then that he hoped to keep his agenda on Wednesday.
Hours later, however, the Palace explained that “after suffering symptoms of a cold, Her Majesty The Queen Consort tested positive for the covid virus”.
“With regret, has therefore canceled all public engagements this week and sincerely apologizes to those who were scheduled to attend” added the note.
The Queen Consort was due to travel to the West Midlands county in central England on Tuesday, where she was visiting a ballet school and a library.
Camila, who has already canceled various events in February 2022 due to contracting the coronavirus, was going to attend a reception at Clarence House on Wednesday to celebrate the second anniversary of her online book club.
Thursday, Carlos III and his wife had planned to go to Milton Keynes to attend a celebration marking the granting of city status to the city, in north-west London.
