The Government of Bolivia reported that it has reached an agreement with the Government of China for the acquisition of 500,000 vaccines against covid-19 from the pharmaceutical company Sinopharm.
“Before the end of February, we will have half a million doses of vaccines against covid-19. Immediately we will carry out mass vaccination according to risk groups ”, informed the Minister of Health and Sports, Jeyson Auza.
The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, reported that the Government of China donated 100,000 vaccines and the rest, the government will buy from Sinopharm.
The Government of Bolivia reported 1,771 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, so the total number of cases in the country increased to 232,502. The authorities also reported 67 new deaths from causes related to covid-19, for which the total number of deaths in the country rose to 10,996.
