Alianza Lima had nothing left, but they beat UTC at home 1-0

On Day 7 of the Peru – Liga 1 Betsson 2023 tournament, Alianza L. picked up three points during her time at UTC. The visit scored the game’s only goal in the 8th minute of the second half, through Pablo Sabbag. Jairo Concha sent in a cross, which the forward dominated and passed Patrick Zubczuk Melendez.

The best man of the match was Pablo Sabbag. The Alianza Lima striker scored 1 goal and shot in the opposite goal twice.

Franco Saravia also stood out at the Héroes de San Ramón stadium. The Alianza Lima goalkeeper excelled by saving 3 shots.

The game was notable for a lot of friction and constant fouls that cut the match short. There were a large number of warnings: Santiago García, Carlos Diez, Yordi Vílchez, Pablo Sabbag, Gabriel Costa and Gino Peruzzi.

For their part, Guillermo Salas’ team entered the field with a 4-4-2 pattern with Franco Saravia under the three sticks; Gino Peruzzi, Pablo Míguez, Santiago García and Yordi Vílchez in defence; Josepmir Ballón, Andrés Andrade, Jairo Concha and Gabriel Costa in midfield; and Bryan Reyna and Pablo Sabbag up front.

Jesús Cartagena was the referee who officiated the match at the Héroes de San Ramón stadium.

UTC’s next game in the championship will be as visitors against Carlos A. Mannucci, while Alianza L. will host Cusco FC.
