These cold temperatures will last until the middle of next week.
This cold is caused by an air mass which will arrive this Sunday and which will begin to withdraw from Wednesday May 1st. March, from the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, reminiscent of milder temperatures.
The drop in temperature will begin on Monday 27 in much of the Spanish territory, being more extreme in the northern half of the peninsula and in the Béticas. In addition, frosts are expected in the Pyrenees and in the Iberian system.
Maximum temperatures will also be very low in these areas, not exceeding 5ºC in large areas of the northern half.
How will the wind be?
The wind during these days will be predominantly from the north and northwest, more intense in the northwest quadrant of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, where very strong gusts will be reached, which will cause a further decrease in thermal sensation.
Fortunately, the wind will gradually lose intensity between Tuesday and Wednesday, except in the Balearic Islands.
Will it snow?
This Monday, precipitation is expected in the area of the Cantabrian coast, in the area of the northeast quadrant and in the Balearic Islands.

On Wednesday, the temperatures will begin to recover, being more important in the event of a maximum. However, the frost will only slightly reduce its extension and because the winds will be weaker, severe frosts could occur, in addition to the areas of the Pyrenees and the Iberian system, in the Cantabrian mountain range and the central system.
