Authorities in Florida, US are investigating the death of the Venezuelan-American businessman Jose Manuel Gonzalez Testino53, and her 3-year-old son Tuesday evening in an apartment of Coconut Grove, Miami.

Officials who found the dead bodies in the luxury home at 2669 South Bayshore Drive in Miami believe that, based on how they observed the gunshot wounds, it would have been a homicide followed by suicide.

In 2018, Testino was detained at Miami International Airport for bribes to an official of the company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) in exchange for favorable commercial treatment. Testino controlled several companies and was accused in the United States of conspiring to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
