This Wednesday, Portuguesa won as a visitor against Botafogo in matchday 11 of the Brazil – Carioca Championship 2023 tournament. The visit scored the only goal of the game 42 minutes after the start of the first half, by Anderson Rosa. With a cross from Lucas Robinho, the midfielder touched the ball in the big box and entered the end of the opposite goal.

The best man of the match was Anderson Rosa. The Portuguesa-RJ midfielder scored 1 goal and looked for the opposite goal 3 times.

Joazi also played a key role. The Portuguesa-RJ defender had a good level by clearing 4 dangerous balls.

Due to the number of fouls committed, the game was constantly interrupted. There were several warned: Victor Sá, Emerson Carioca, Victor Feitosa and Wellington Cezar.

Botafogo coach Luis Ribeiro de Castro suggested a 4-4-2 formation with Lucas Perri in the arch; Adryelson, Victor Cuesta, Luis Segovia and Tchê Tchê in the defensive line; Marlon Freitas, Lucas Fernandes, Rai and Victor Sa in the middle; and Carlos Alberto and Matheus Nascimento in attack.

For their part, Felipe Surian’s side entered the field in a 4-5-1 format with Willis Mota under the three sticks; Joazi, Matheus Santos, Lucas Santos and Yuri in defense; Victor Feitosa, João Paulo, Anderson Rosa, Romarinho and Lucas Robinho in midfield; and Emerson Carioca in the lead.

Referee Alexandre Tavares de Jesus was in charge of overseeing the game at the Estadio da Cidadania.
