It was on this same date, exactly nine years ago, that a Malaysia Airlines flight with more than 200 people on board disappeared from radar forever. It is one of the greatest mysteries in contemporary history that has given rise to official reports, questions, assumptions and an exhaustive search for evidence.

The docuseries trailer was recently released by the platform and aims to answer a basic question: what really happened? The night flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing had been prepared normally during the day. There were 239 passengers and crew who took off on the flight during a seemingly calm night in 2014, however, their fates are unknown at this time.

Nearly a decade ago, the disappearance of the commercial aircraft caught the world’s attention for not having a definite cause behind it or for determining that there had been a breakdown during air transport.
