Entrepreneur and investor Tobias Reichmuth is no stranger to Switzerland, as he is known to television audiences as a jury member on “The Lion’s Den”. But instead of supporting founders, this time he set up his own project: “Vodka Zelensky”.
“Vodka Zelensky” is to be sold at home and abroad
For this purpose he founded a new company with Anastasiia Rosinina, a fashion designer who fled to Switzerland from the Ukraine, as reported by the ” Luzerner Zeitung “. The vodka, which has a blue and yellow label and the face of the Ukrainian President, is to be produced in Switzerland, which is why Reichmuth is currently looking for vodka distillers and producers of glass bottles.
He has already won one company for the project: Edelwhite Gin in Hasle is to produce 10,000 bottles. But that’s far from enough, because the duo’s goals are ambitious: they want to sell hundreds of thousands of bottles not only in Switzerland, but also abroad afterwards. Initially, the vodka will be available in various online shops, after which stationary trade will also be supplied. Club operators who want to include the new vodka in their bar range are said to have already contacted the company.
Olena Selenska is said to approve of the project
It’s for a good cause: A bottle of ” Vodka Zelensky ” is said to cost 40 francs (equivalent to 38.50 euros) in stores, 10 francs are donated directly and immediately to Ukrainian civilian aid organizations. Ultimately, the goal is to donate all profits from sales by 2026, as Tobias Reichmuth explains: “Up to the last profit franc.”
Incidentally, Reichmuth secured the rights to the name by entering it in the Swiss trademark register – despite several attempts, he was unable to contact the Ukrainian President himself. However, his wife Olena Selenska reportedly reported and approved the project.
