Soon you won’t need to have friends to use WhatsApp: AI integration will allow you to chat with bots
What if you could chat with someone who doesn’t exist? Or if you could receive answers from a fictional character, a celebrity or an expert on a subject? This is what AI chatbots offer, applications that use artificial intelligence to generate automatic responses from text or an image. These AI chats are making their way into WhatsApp, the world’s most widely used messaging app.
AI chats are a form of entertainment, education or therapy that rely on text generator technology, deep learning models that can create coherent and original texts from an input. These models are trained on large amounts of data, such as books, articles, conversations or social networks, and learn to mimic the style, tone and content of those texts.
How do AI chats work in WhatsApp?
It has been thanks to WABetaInfo that this information has come to light because they have analyzed beta 23.24.10.71 for iOS and found that Meta’s messaging app plans to integrate AI chats, making it soon no longer necessary to have friends to talk on WhatsApp.
The screenshots obtained show that talking to a bot will only require clicking on a special button that will be integrated within WhatsApp. This button that shows a circle of various colors will give access to the different bots that are available on WhatsApp.
In addition to allowing you to interact with AI bots, this new button will allow you to perform different tasks and can be invoked from groups so that you can ask them, for example, to generate an image or ask any type of question you want to solve.
This application of AI within WhatsApp is something that Meta seems to have been working on for quite some time, now we can only wait to see if it becomes a reality and is integrated into future updates within the messaging application.
