In January 2021, it was discovered that TikTok was testing a new Q & A feature. It is a mechanism that allows creators to directly answer fan questions using text and video. March 4, US time The company announced that it has made this feature publicly available worldwide. A new feature, officially named TikTok Q & A, allows creators to specify their own comments as Q & A questions, answering those questions with text comments or video replies. You can add a Q & A profile link to your biography. This feature is also available for live video

TikTok Q & A was born out of the way creators were already using the platform to interact with their viewers. After posting a video, viewers often ask questions about the content. Creators may answer such questions in the comments or post another video when they want to talk more complicated.

The new Q & A feature stylizes this process, making it easier for creators (especially those with a lot of fans) to find and answer particularly interesting questions.

To use Q & A, first specify a comment in Q & A with a new option. To do this, tap the Q & A icon to the right of the comment text entry field. The comment will then be labeled with an icon and the text “Asked by” followed by the username of the person asking the question. This makes it easier for creators to see a long list of comments on their videos.

In addition, the specified questions will be displayed on the newly created Q & A page, and the questions and answers will be aggregated. Users can view this page to see past or already answered questions, or add their own questions.

Creators answer Q & A in text or video as before, so the procedure is the same as before and there is little new learning.

You can also add Q & A comments as stamps to your answers. The new video has a link to the original video that was originally asked, which is similar to how you use comment stamps now.

The new features are also available on TikTok LIVE, allowing creators to easily view questions coming into streaming chats in a separate panel.

With the release of new features, it is now possible to add a Q & A profile link to the creator’s profile biography. From there, users can jump to organized Q & A pages.

During the test period, this feature was available only to creators who had 10,000 followers with public accounts and opt-in. On March 4th, TikTok announced that it is now available to all users with creator accounts.
