The foldable-screen iPhone wouldn’t arrive until 2023, at the earliest, if at all on the agenda

With the success that Samsung is having with its foldable screen smartphones today, it would not be surprising ifApple seeks to take advantage of the general public’s enthusiasm for this market. There have been many rumors in the past suggesting that the Cupertino company is currently working on its own smartphone with a foldable screen. Today, it seems that we have a small time estimate for the commercialization of such a device.

Folding-screen iPhone reportedly not arriving until 2023, at the earliest

According to a new report from Display Supply Chain Consultants, analyst Ross Young understands that the Apple brand may launch its own foldable screen smartphone in the next few years. That being said, it shouldn’t be for now. Still according to Ross Young, the marketing of this device would arrive only in 2023, at the earliest.

If it is on the agenda

That means you might forget about a 2022 launch, if you’ve been expecting an iPhone with a foldable display, of course. And even 2023 seems pretty difficult to achieve. That being said, again according to this report, after 2023 it could be entirely possible, whether it’s 2025, 2027 or even 2030, after all. Still, if Apple does intend to offer a smartphone with a foldable screen, there is a good chance that it will want to give the South Korean giant as little time as possible to establish itself in this market.

In addition, it should also be borne in mind that another rumor is circulating recently. According to this, Apple would aim to replace its iPhone with an augmented reality device in the next 10 years. It is difficult, in this context, to imagine that an iPhone with a folding screen could have its place. Or maybe it could be a transient device. Either way, with estimates so far away, almost anything could happen. So don’t expect anything in particular. Patience!
