It is not one of the most common actions, but leaving the mobile flashlight on all night can be dangerous. Not always, it’s true. But sometimes the exception can become the general rule if we don’t pay proper attention to it.

This was revealed by a user in the well-known Reddit forum: he fell asleep with this application turned on and, upon waking up, the consequences were more painful than the obvious loss of battery.

The image, at that time, generated a great impact among users and raised too many questions about the safety of these devices. However, the apple company questioned the veracity of the photograph and doubted that such damage had been caused by one of its phones. Nozzarman91 said yes.

So the big question is whether a situation is possible today. To answer it, we must not lose sight of the fact that the LED light emitted by these devices does not get too hot even when it stays on for hours. This means, in said fire, other factors must have concurred that made the terminal more vulnerable.

When the image was released, the forum was filled with comments in which a key fact was mentioned: current mobiles have a safety device that, in case of overheating, will automatically turn it off. In fact, the aforementioned user did not provide any snapshot of the damaged device, which cast doubt on its veracity.
