iMac 2021: Price, date and characteristics of the multicolored computer with the M1 chip

Apple has integrated its own Apple Silicon M1 processor in its new iMac computers that, in addition to boosting performance, allows it to offer more compact bodies and larger screens.

The new iMac Desktop Computer has been designed entirely around the M1 processor. This has made it possible to reduce its profile, which now measures 11.5mm, and expand the size of the screen to four inches, as the company showed this Tuesday, in its first event in 2021.

The M1 processor integrates both GPU and CPU and other components on a smaller board, and being more efficient, the term system has been replaced by two smaller vents, which cool the computer. The company has highlighted the silence of its operation, which remains below 10 decibels.

This chip has helped reduce the volume of the new iMac by 50%, which integrates a 24-inch borderless display with a 4.5K Retina panel, which offers a resolution of 4,480 x 2,520 pixels (11.3 million) and reaches a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

It also integrates a 1080p HD FaceTime Camera for video calls. The camera has been paired with the M1, which includes an Image Signal Processor (ISP) that employs computer processing to improve image quality.

It also includes a six-speaker sound system, which enhances sound by reducing noise that may arise from such enhancement, and studio-quality microphones.

iMac is available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage and eight-core CPU, with two Thunderbolt ports, Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse, for $1,800 (in green, pink, blue and silver), and for $2,000 the model that Expand connectivity with two USB 3 ports, Magic Keyboard with TouchID, Magic Mouse, and Ethernet port (in green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver).

Both iMac models can be pre-ordered from April 30 and will be available from mid-May.
