Huawei has opened, as usual, the events prior to the celebration of the MWC that is being held these days in Barcelona. It has announced the launch of the new generation of MateBook X Pro , a spectacular laptop model that incorporates new and improved features, including the Real ColourFullView screen and support for Super Device technology, a multi-device functionality for various work and leisure scenarios.
The device is equipped with a 14.2-inch screen , with a screen-to-body ratio of 92.5%, and the first certification in the market in double color gamut and color accuracy. It offers a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and a 10-point multi-touch function. It incorporates the Super Device concept, which offers an intuitive way to interconnect various brand equipment.
Equipped with the new Real ColourFullView display with a 92.5% screen-to-body ratio, it provides a wide viewing area. It supports a resolution of up to 3120×2080 with a density of 264 pixels per inch. It is compatible with the P3 color gamut, which supports 1.07 billion colors, and with a factory calibration that brings vibrancy to the image.
It manages a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz and has obtained the TÜV Rheinland Pro-level Color Accuracywith Dual Color Gamuts certification and the VESA Display HDR 400 certification. Tonal changes are faithfully reproduced thanks to the fact that the screen allows a brightness of up to 500 nits and a contrast ratio of 1500:1.
The model is primed for excellent performance, but users can also use the Fn+P keyboard command to access High Performance mode , which increases the CPU’s Thermal Design Power (TDP) to 30W for tasks. More demanding. It includes up to 16GB of LPDDR4x memory and can be configured with up to a full 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSDs for high read and write speeds. This performance is complemented by a new cooling module made up of two shark fin fans and the ultra-thin vapor chamber cooling system, which work in the background to keep the laptop cool.
It is equipped with 6 speakers with woofers to form a back-to-back design that, in combination with the software -level sound system , is capable of delivering clean bass and crisp highs. The system works in harmony with Huawei’s reconstruction algorithms to widen the sound field of 3D surround sound, adding depth to the experience. It has four microphones along the edge, arranged in a new design, to allow 360º sound pickup in a radius of up to five meters. The microphones are equipped with AI noise cancellation algorithms that minimize ambient sounds and reverberation.
MateBook X Pro supports the Super Device experience , which offers users a more convenient way to connect the notebook with other devices. To start pairing, users just need to click the Control Panel icon and then drag other device icons onto the PC icon. This way of pairing makes connecting multiple devices more intuitive than ever.
It should be noted that the device has an improved Free Touch , which supports six new gestures that offer an interaction experience superior to that of using the mouse. The Huawei Share connection area is also integrated into the touch panel. By lightly touching a Huawei smartphone against it, users can initiate multi-screen collaboration between the two devices.
As a work laptop, it supports facial recognition and fingerprint power button, a two-in-one power button and fingerprint reader, for one-step login. It integrates a keyboard of remarkable dimensions with a key travel of 1.5 mm, something unusual among ultra-thin laptops.
