The tablet market is still very active. Although largely dominated by the Apple iPad, this does not prevent the competition from bringing new models to market.

There are hundreds of tablet models on the market today, with dozens of manufacturers and a wide variety of operating systems. It’s not just Apple and its iPads, although the Cupertino company takes the lion’s share. Today it’s Barnes & Noble which launches a new model in its Nook range.

Barnes & Noble formalizes a new Nook tablet

It has been almost three years now since Barnes & Noble launched its Nook tablet and there have been many rumors lately that the biggest bookseller in the United States has decided to halt production of this device.

Today, the brand proves that this information was totally false by officially launching a new 10-inch Nook tablet. A tablet thought and designed in collaboration with Lenovo. This Android device is powered by an octocore processor and has a 10.1 inch IPS HD panel that is said to have been certified for very low blue light emissions.

This tablet also offers 32 GB of storage with the possibility of extending the latter via a microSD card. The advertised autonomy is 10 hours on a single charge. For the rest, we will mention front and rear cameras as well as two Dolby Atmos speakers.

And as you might expect, the tablet has access to the Nook app for ebooks, newspapers and magazines, Google Play, and Google Assistant. It also offers Google’s FM radio and Kids Space, a new mode for Android tablets that gives children access to books their age.

Tony Chen, vice president at Lenovo, said of the tablet: “As part of our mission to make smarter technologies available to everyone, Lenovo has innovated a wide variety of Android tablets over the past decade to meet the needs of everyone and cover all budgets. We are delighted to turn a new page with Barnes & Noble on the super slim and very light design of the new NOOK connected tablet which gives eBook lovers the best of both worlds  a very complete Lenovo Android tablet with everything you need. know and may want to NOOK.”

Like the Nook tablet that was marketed in 2018, this new model will be sold at the public price of $ 130. It will be available in early April in stores and online on the Barnes & Noble website.
