Apple is starting to send out its invitations for WWDC 2022. There will be few lucky ones this year.

Every year, fans of the Apple brand and more generally tech enthusiasts await Apple’s high mass, the WWDC, its annual developer conference. This year 2022 will be an opportunity to introduce the next major versions of its operating systems. And there is no doubt that the surprises will be there. It is therefore a very good surprise to learn today that the Cupertino company has started to send invitations to this very select event.

Apple starts sending out invites to WWDC 2022

Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference will be mostly virtual this year, but some lucky ones may be physically present at Apple Park. The tech giant has indeed started to send invitations to this effect for June 6. The lucky participants will be able to follow the keynote and the various State of the Union videos on site. If the last two conferences dedicated to developers were only pure online experiences, this time, insofar as some employees found their way back to their desks, at least once a week, there was no longer too much reason not to meet physically.

There will be few lucky ones this year

Members of the Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program had the chance to apply to be invited between May 9 and May 11. The Cupertino company said it will choose the lucky winners completely randomly. And as you can see in the image below, invitations are non-transferable. Those selected have until May 19 at 3 a.m. (French time) to respond, otherwise their invitation will be offered to another candidate.

Apple should take advantage of the event to present iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16 as well as the next version of macOS. The Apple brand could also mention its long-awaited Apple Silicon M2 chips, which are currently being tested in no less than nine new Mac models.
