The championships of the first three divisions of France are coming to an end. In Ligue 1, Metz has not said its last word and two monuments are in danger. For Bordeaux , it’s already almost finished, unless there is an unlikely reversal of the situation (unfavorable goal difference of -12 compared to Metz, 18th with a three-point lead). But Saint-Étienne , with its ten French championship titles, is also in a very bad position with one day remaining. Only these three teams can descend or compete in the maintenance barrage since Lorient and Clermont officially saved themselves on the evening of the 37th day.

Ligue 2: Toulouse and Ajaccio rise, Dunkirk and Nancy relegated

After two seasons in Ligue 2, champion Toulouse will return to the top flight in 2022-2023, as will AC Ajaccio (2nd with 75 points). Behind, Auxerre, Paris FC and Sochaux will have to go through the play-offs, then a barrage against the 18th in Ligue 1 to try to be promoted.
At the bottom of the standings, Nancy (20th with 27 points) and Dunkerque (19th with 31 points) are relegated to National. Quevilly-Rouen (18th with 37 points) is a roadblocker and will face Villefranche-Beaujolais to save its place in L2.

National: Laval and Annecy in Ligue 2

The National Championship is over to the delight of Laval and Annecy . Laval, the champion, returns to the professional world five years after his last season in Ligue 2. For its part, Annecy is promoted to the second national division after three decades in the lower divisions. Third in National, Villefranche will play for the second consecutive year in the play-offs to try to be promoted to Ligue 2. After a first failure against Niort (3-1; 0-2), the Beaujolais players will this time face QRM .
Bastia-Borgo , Chambly , Créteil and Boulogne , the red lantern, go down in National 2. A division from which Versailles got out. The three remaining tickets will be played between Paris 13 Atlético (ex-FC Gobelins) and Fleury in group B, between Martigues and GOAL FC (ex-Chasselay) in group C, and between Le Puy and Bergerac in group D.
