Jalen Green had 30 points, Kenyon Martin Jr. and rookie Jabari Smith Jr. each had 21 and the Houston Rockets overcame a 15-point second-half deficit to beat the Atlanta Hawks 128-122 on Friday night.
The Rockets (4-14) got another narrow victory in this difficult season for them despite the spectacular performances of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray.
Young had a season-high 44 points and Murray had a career-high 39 points and eight 3-pointers. Center Clint Capela did not play.
With four points, Green quickly put the Rockets up 118-117 with two minutes left.
Garrison Mathews then stole a ball and made two free throws due to a foul on the other end of the court.
Young made one of two free throws for Atlanta before Smith made it 122-118 with a layup with just over a minute remaining in the game.
