Marta Pérez, two-time champion of Spain of 1,500 meters in the open air, has announced that she has tested positive in the PCR, so She won’t be able to travel to Karlsruhe (Germany), where today she planned to compete in the inaugural event of the World Indoor Tour of athletics.
“In the PCR test necessary to fly I tested positive. I was training very well and I am totally asymptomatic, so the world has fallen at my feet. Back to the tape. See you in a few days, I hope the least possible,” she explained on Twitter.
The athlete from Soria, who has personal marks of 4: 04.88 in 1,500 and 2: 01.82 in 800, She was going to participate, along with Esther Guerrero from Barcelona, in the 1,500 race in Karlsruhe.
