Tennessee, USA.  – Ja Morant finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Detroit Pistons 118-88 without complications Thursday.

It was the seventh straight win for the Grizzlies, who built a clear early lead in the game.

Dillon Brooks had 18 points and Tyus Jones had 14 points, as did rookie Ziaire Williams, his highest number of the season.

Saben Lee was the Pistons’ best scorer with 14 points. Hamidou Diallo and rookie Cade Cunningham had 12 each. Trey Lyles finished with 10.

Memphis had a 16-point lead at halftime and extended it in the third period amid the Pistons’ persistent struggles to find the rival rim. Detroit made only one of his first 10 pitches in the third quarter.

Memphis extended their lead to 82-52 and the Pistons suffered their second major loss on consecutive nights.

The Pistons, who lost 140-111 to Charlotte on Wednesday night, were once again outscored in double digits by Memphis.

The Grizzlies were quickly up by 18 points because they hit just over 50% of their shots and the Pistons missed all six of their 3-point attempts.

Memphis maintained its offensive efficiency by nearly 50% as well as its double-digit lead that reached 62-46 at halftime thanks to Morant and Williams leading the offense at the time with 14 points each.
