A NEW ZEALAND woman couldn’t wait to see what would follow from the introduction of a new hairstyle.

Annie McElvein, 25, had asked the hairdresser for a new look for her hair, but the end result was ridiculous. The woman looked in the mirror and realized that she looked exactly like the Lord of the Rings character Frodo the Backpack.

McElvein posted a picture on the TikTok video service after a visit to the hair salon, and soon things started to happen. His update became a viral hit, garnering nearly eight million views.

In the picture, the curly-haired student is holding a picture of actor Elijah Wood in his Frodo role next to his face.

McElvein treated the outcome with humor.

– I didn’t ask to look like him, but I don’t regret it. I’m a big Lord of the Rings fan, so when I saw the end result, I said, oh really! he told the South West News Service, according to the New York Post.

– And when I say I’m a fan, I mean I might spend hours watching Lord of the Rings videos on YouTube. Not to mention when I’m partying.

The woman hopes that her update will reach the acting star.

– I would like to meet him. Maybe he’d like to meet me too, McElvein said of his distant twin.
