Nissan’s new ARIYA is a fully electric car that embodies years of research, experience and technology. The technology of the future guarantees functionality with a single charge even on longer journeys. The design draws heavily from Japanese culture.

Nissan ARIYA is a new generation fully electric crossover that showcases the manufacturer’s long-standing expertise in fully electric cars.

Nissan has designed, manufactured and maintained electric cars for over a decade. The production chain has been refined to be efficient and as ecological as possible, from planning to maintenance and the subsequent use of raw materials. Nissan ARIYA is the result of a modern ecosystem.

“We have shipped well over half a million fully electric LEAFs to the world. All knowledge and experience about the needs of motorists is condensed in ARIYA. At the same time, the best possible package of new generation features has been built into the novelty,” says Nissan Nordic Europe’s communications manager Mika Särkelä.

He highlights driving characteristics, usability and safety. In the highly competitive class of all-electric SUVs, it’s not enough for a car to meet expectations—they have to be exceeded.

“ARIYA is an intelligent and intuitive partner, with whom driving is an experience. Technically and design-wise, it has all the know-how of Nissan. It’s worth taking a test drive and experiencing for yourself.”

Battery size according to the needs of the driver

There are two battery sizes to choose from in the Nissan ARIYA. In the standard model’s 63 kWh battery, the range extends to about 400 kilometers.

“A large part of Finns need a car for less than a hundred kilometers a day, in which case our standard battery more than meets the needs,” says Särkelä.

Driving a lot, the 87 kWh battery serves up to more than 500 kilometers on a single charge. The car with a larger battery size is also available with a combination of two electric motors and innovative e-4ORCE four-wheel drive technology, which brings a new level of stability and relaxation to driving in all weather conditions.

“Selectable battery sizes, traction methods and all technical details are the result of careful development and experience. They have been chosen according to what the drivers really need and want.”

Intelligent systems bring five-star security

Nissan is known for an extremely safe driving experience, safety features are standard on all models. In the latest models X-Trail, Qashqai and ARIYA, driver assistance technology has been taken one step further.

“Pro Pilot, which assists the driver with the Navi-Link function, keeps the distance to those in front and also keeps the car in the middle of the lane and takes into account changes in speed limits. If you’re driving too fast around a corner or there’s road work ahead, the car’s speed will automatically slow down,” Särkelä lists as examples of features.

Nissan ARIYA has a full five stars in the Euro NCAP safety test. Nissan’s goal is that by 2050, its cars will not be involved in a single serious crash.

“Safety is not developed for classification, but for life”, Särkelä adds.

“We have focused on making driving, parking and other practical situations as safe as possible. Testable features are only part of it.”

A top-class driving experience, even years from now

The design language of Nissan ARIYA shows plenty of modern and traditional elements of Japanese culture. The eye-catching car is full of carefully thought-out details. The flat floor and space bring lounge-like coziness to the interior.

“ARIYA is suitable for a large number of different drivers. What unites them is that they want a car with a distinctive and progressive design, which is more than just a means of transportation.”

Särkelä emphasizes that the Nissan ARIYA is not only the car of the moment, but also the car of the future. Driveability, safety and design will stand the test of time.

“It is not enough that the car meets the needs now. ARIYA is designed in such a way that it offers a top-class driving experience even years from now.”
