Sky Rojo has a release date. Netflix’s new bet, starring Lali Espósito, Verónica Sánchez and Yany Prado, will be released worldwide on March 19.
The fiction of Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, the creators of La Casa de Papel, focuses on the story of Coral (Verónica Sánchez), Wendy (Lali Espósito) and Gina (Yany Prado), three prostitutes who escape from their pimp and they must flee from the hitmen he hires to look for them.
Filmed in various Spanish locations in Madrid and Tenerife, “Sky Rojo” will have a format of eight 25-minute episodes in which various genres converge with a pinch of black humor, large doses of action and pure adrenaline.
Now Netflix has published a short but powerful trailer that reflects the powerful production that promises to especially hook Latin American fans. “Survive five more minutes. That’s the plan ”, was the description that Netflix chose for the preview that was released this Tuesday.
The main cast is completed by Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Enric Auquer and Asier Etxeandía. Behind the cameras are Eduardo Chapero-Jackson and Javier Quintas, who saw filming interrupted due to the coronavirus, but were finally able to start it again at the end of 2020.
The script team is made up of Álex Pina, Esther Martínez Lobato, David Barrocal, David Oliva, Javier Gómez Santander, Juan Salvador López and Mercedes Rodrigo, while Migue Amoedo has taken the reins of photography direction together with David Azcano and David Acereto.
