Tina Ruland became famous thanks to the cult film “Manta, Manta”.

A thirst for adventure, boredom and fame could be good reasons for moving into the “jungle camp”. But it’s probably the account balance that drives many celebrities to the RTL show. But not everyone admits it as openly as camper Tina Ruland.

The actress is moving to this year’s RTL jungle camp in South Africa along with eleven other celebrities. In two interviews, the actress has now spoken about the main reason for her participation in “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!”.

“The last two years have been catastrophic, of course I can use the money very well,” she explains in an interview with Bunte magazine. In any case, she doesn’t have to go to South Africa to get to know her limits, “I’ve really tested them enough as a single mother of two sons and after 30 years in the acting business”.

In the current edition of the gala , she also explains further: “After my separation in 2019, I deliberately withdrew for a year, then Corona came.” In the following time, she shot less than ever. “Let’s put it this way: I wouldn’t have gone without money, of course, I want to be honest.” Ruland sees the meager food rations for the campers as the greatest challenge: “I’ve never been on a diet or anything like that in my life and I don’t know Just not hungry. I can imagine it being really, really difficult.”

THAT’S WHAT THEIR SONS SAY ABOUT THEIR JUNGLE ADVENTURE

At the end of March 2019, Ruland announced the separation from management consultant Claus G. Öldorp, with whom she had been in a relationship for nine years and has a son. Ruland has another son from a previous relationship. What do your children say about their participation in the jungle camp? “My eldest son Javis is 17, he wasn’t that enthusiastic at first,” reveals Ruland in the Bunte interview. She had to promise him not to be embarrassed under any circumstances. Her younger son Vidal is eleven and sees the whole thing “more as a big adventure”.

Tina Ruland, who was born in Cologne, celebrated her breakthrough as hairdresser Uschi alongside Til Schweiger in the cult film “Manta, Manta” (1991). The family series “Not from bad parents” (1993-1996), in which she starred with Sabine Postel, Ulrich Pleitgen (1946-2018) and Patrick Bach, was also a success. In 2018, Ruland tried her luck on the RTL show “Let’s Dance”, but was the first to drop out. Most recently, she took on TV guest roles in series such as “SOKO Stuttgart” or “The Public Prosecutor” and in film series such as “Cruise into Happiness”. Your latest role is now that of the jungle camper.
