The wedding of businessman Henrique Dubugras drew attention on Friday (6). A 27-year-old executive, he closed the main tourist attractions in Fernando de Noronha (PE) to promote his luxurious wedding.
Dubugras appeared on Forbes magazine’s list of new billionaires for 2022. With a degree in Computer Science from Stanford University in California (USA), the executive’s life has changed in the last six years.
Since 2017, he has been a partner in the corporate credit card company Brex. His partner, and best man at his wedding, is Pedro Franceschi, 26, with whom he shares command of the company.
Brex’s main product is a line of corporate cards aimed at startups. In 2018, a points program was created, which caused a boom in clients from a wide range of companies throughout Brazil.
Today, Brex is dedicated to creating an integrated financial management system that takes care of all sectors. Among its services are accounts for cash management, expense control, payment automation and other solutions.
Brex currently has around 1,300 employees and a valuation of around R$63.5 billion. Dubrugas’ fortune is estimated at R$1.5 billion, one of the largest in the country.
The wedding will have around 400 guests and the possible presence of Bill Gates, the owner of Microsoft. In addition, it is possible that Alok and the band Maroon 5 will play concerts on the occasion, according to the Metrópoles portal, but there is no official confirmation from the groups.
Several inns on the island have been closed for the last ten days in order to cope with the influx of people arriving.
Henrique Dubugras is getting married to computer scientist Laura Fiuza this Saturday (7). It is estimated that the ceremony will cost around R$10 million.
