The daughters of Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci
Maurizio and Patrizia were married in 1972 and had two daughters. The first, Alessandra, was born in 1977 and Allegra, the second, in 1981. When the couple separated in 1985, the girls stayed with their mother.
The end of their marriage drove Patrizia “crazy”. The way that Maurizio put an end to their life as a couple was not the best and even worse, when Patrizia learned that the heir had fallen in love with another, Paola Franchi, the less it seemed to her. Why only legally cut off a marriage if you can ‘murder’ your husband?
And if, Patrizia hired a hitman to end the life of Maurizio on March 27, 1995 at his Milan office. The murder occurred a year after his divorce from Patrizia. Two years after his death, she was charged with murder.
After her mother’s arrest, the daughters tried to support her by claiming that due to her brain tumor, she had committed this crime. So much that Allegra and Alessandra blindly believed in his innocence. Back then Alessandra was 20 years old and Allegra 16.
