Gekkō is a new concept of Japanese steakhouse from Groot Hospitality. The new restaurant was opened in partnership with 28-year-old Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, following David Grutman’s innovative approach of blending the worlds of entertainment and hospitality.

Gekkō, which means “moonlight,” built its menu around premium cuts and preparations of Wagyu beef (with hints of Korean barbecue), and an emphasis on tabletop presentations—including seared beef platters the flame.

In addition, other popular dishes inspired by Japanese cuisine will be offered, as well as a full sushi program, including an Omakase bar for six.

The space anchors the aesthetic in a luxurious yet contemporary application of graphic wallcoverings, jewel tones, golden light, and natural wood accents.

In total, Gekkō can accommodate approximately 185 guests. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the SLS Lux Brickell on colorful South Miami Avenue.
