Almost eleven years after that live kiss that moved Spain, Sara Carbonero and Iker Casillas parted ways, according to Lecturas exclusively published. The rumors that they talked about the estrangement of the couple and that they even said that they no longer shared the marital home.

The last time the former soccer player referred directly to Sara Carbonero on his Instagram account was more than a month ago, on February 3, when he published a photo of her along with a text: “37 winters. Congratulations!! The dance goes on, you have to dance to the end!!”

So many interpreted those words as a way to silence rumors of separation. But when it emerged that Sara was hospitalized for a relapse of her ovarian cancer, the meaning changed.

Iker Casillas has been a firm supporter during Sara’s illness.
