On December 19, Carlos Marin passed away, the Spanish singer, member of the musical group Il Divo, at age 53 due to Covid after being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Manchester hospital (United Kingdom) due to this disease, intubated and in an induced coma.

“It is with great regret that we let you know that our friend and partner Carlos Marín has passed away. His friends, family and fans will miss him. There will never be another voice or spirit like Carlos ”, announced the musical group on its official Twitter account.

As a result, Primer Beat Producciones announced the postponement until June 15 of 2022 of the concert that was to be held at the Coliseum in A Coruña on December 22.

Now, almost a month after the fateful news, Il Divo has reappeared on social media to announce that the tour has been renamed ‘Greatest Hits Tour’, in tribute to Carlos Marín, and will focus on the great successes that the quartet has created since its career began in 2003.

It has also announced that the American baritone, Steven LaBrie, will join the group in a special way during the next concerts to replace the late singer.

“The tour, formerly known as ‘For Once in My Life Tour’, will continue under the name ‘Greatest Hits Tour’ and will include the stellar appearance of the Mexican-American baritone Steven LaBrie. The tour will be packed with hits from Il Divo’s vast music catalog and will feature an incredible stage production. All tickets for previously scheduled shows will be honored at the concerts in 2022″, says the group on Twitter.

A tribute to the soul of the quartet that is not being well received by its fans who mourn the death of Carlos Marín.
