The Colombian Shakira shows solidarity with an Iranian soccer player Amir Nasr-Azadani who could be executed for his defense of human rights.

The conviction of the Iranian player Amir Nasr-Azadani, who defended the protests in favor of women’s rights, has shocked the world and proof of this is that the Colombian singer Shakira shows solidarity and joins thousands of people who are dissatisfied that with this situation, she called it “unforgivable” to let this fact go by, especially by the organizations of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Shortly before the start of the World Cup, much was said about whether the singer would be at the opening show, after a similar number of artists denied her invitation due to the issue of human rights violations. Not many days passed until it was confirmed that the artist would not participate in the event, because she does not agree with some laws of that country.

On this occasion, Shakira protested in favor of women in Qatar and raised her voice about the situation that the Iranian soccer player, Amir Nasr-Azadani, is going through, sending a message to the world, especially to the players of the Argentine and French teams:

“Today, in the World Cup final, I just hope that the players on the field and the whole world remember that there is a man and fellow footballer named Amir Nasr, sentenced to death, just for speaking out for women’s rights.” Shakira posted on Twitter.

In another tweet, the singer again expressed her dismay about the situation, where she wrote:

“I hope there is more than a minute of silence in our hearts to remember what is important and more than one united voice shouting for what is fair,” added the interpreter on her Twitter account.

We remind you that the Iranian soccer player Amir Nasr-Azadani will be executed, because he defended a woman who was murdered for using the Islamic veil “wrongly” according to the customs of that country. For its part, FIFA, the organization in charge of carrying out the Qatar 2022 World Cup, has not ruled on the matter.
