The driver of The fat and the skinny, Raúl de Molina had his birthday on March 29 and from very early hours he received an unexpected gift from his wife.

The Univisión star presenter posted a video on his Instagram account where he poses with hot air balloons, announcing that it was his birthday and that he was going to take a walk with his wife, Mily de Molina. The latter suddenly interrupted the recording to dedicate a “happy birthday, fat boy, I love you very much.”

Raúl de Molina had given himself another treat on his 62nd birthday, as he went with his wife to some vineyards in Napa Valley where he was able to tour the same and taste the different wines that are made in the region.

Many followers left messages of congratulations in the comments section of his Instagram account. Also some colleagues and celebrities such as: María Celeste Arrarás, Rodner Figueroa and Alejandro Fernández.

Currently, Raúl de Molina, better known as El Gordo, is the host of the daily television program The fat and the skinny of Univisión, along with Lili Estefan.

Due to the rating of his program, the magazine People and other media consider him one of the most influential Hispanics in the United States. He worked on programs such as Primer Impacto, Ocurró Así, Hola América and Club Telemundo, among others.

In 2010, the magazine People in Spanish selected him in the list of the most elegant people, when it was not often that plus size personalities appeared in these lists.

At the age of 11 he became interested in photography and, since then, De Molina has published his images in national and international media such as Time, Newsweek, Life, Hola and París Match, among others, and has presented several exhibitions in galleries of art showing his work in large format.

He has also taken photographs for charity calendars.

In 2003, Raúl de Molina published a book based on his own interviews with celebrities, with exclusive photos.

In addition, he was a special contributor to the Spanish version of Travel + Leisure magazine. In 2008, Random House published his second book, called The Fat Man’s Diet, where he shared his experiences with fat as a child and the successful formula that led him to lose 70 pounds of weight, without starving.

The well-being of children is one of its causes, which is why it collaborates with charities such as Voices for Children and the Miami Children’s Health Foundation.
