The outfits chosen by the Princess of Orange to celebrate her 18 years pay tribute to Máxima Zorreguieta and the chiaroscuro technique

The Princess Amalia , heir to the throne of Holland, turned 18 years and celebrated with two special looks. One of them with a wink to his motherMáxima Zorreguieta

THE AMALIA DRESSES FOR ITS 18 YEARS OLD

Amalia chose as her main outfit a dress in her mother’s favorite color, red . The long-sleeved and midi cut design was complemented by a belt of the same gender. The semitransparent pleated skirt dress featured a chest base at the end of the cut.

The red piece is part of the Max Mara signature and the model is called Tecla. The style chosen by Amalia was classic and very similar to her mother’s choices.

HOW TO WEAR ANIMAL PRINT WITH ELEGANCE?

As a second dress, the young princess opted for a more played design. A subtle animal print on a black base. The three-quarter sleeve design , the ruffles and the crossover cut gave it a more modern twist.

Amalia’s black dress and second choice is from the Dutch house LaDress and the model is Naomi. This clothing firm has few designs for each piece, as it has a boutique format.

THE WINK OF THE NETHERLANDS MAXIMUM

One of the most striking details of the animal print outfit was the choice of footwear, since the nude stilettos chosen by the Princess of Orange are her mother’s favorites.

DUTCH ART AND FASHION

Historically in Holland art and fashion have always gone hand in hand, and this time the Royal House wanted to represent one of the most traditional artistic techniques, perfected by the Dutch in the seventeenth century, chiaroscuro.

Although the chiaroscuro technique dates from the 5th century , Rembrandt and Vermeer adopted it and perfected it in 1600. Amalia represented this traditional technique through her artistic photographs, taken by Frank Ruiter.
