Paulina Rubio recalled her toxic relationship with Colate: “For love I was very trusting”

Paulina Rubio is in Mexico City and this Monday, November 8, she gave exclusive interviews to present her new single, the song I am, a song in a tone of empowerment and strength with which she returns to the music scene after a period without releasing unreleased songs.

In the midst of the pandemic and after the stoppage of concerts and massive face-to-face events, The golden girl said happy to be back in the land where she was born, and although she has not yet prepared a presentation, she was enthusiastic to show her new material to the public that has known her since she was very young.

The 50-year-old blonde was interviewed by Pati Chapoy, to whom she told what she hopes at this moment in her life, her relationship with her children and love.

“My last concert was on March 10, 2019 when I sang at the National Auditorium, that time was the last I sang on stage”, she said by way of greeting.

The host of Ventaneando was excited to talk with Rubio about her empowerment.

Rubio made a special mention of her family, and stressed that without their support she could not be where she is, enjoying the consolidation of a career of more than four decades.

“I couldn’t do it without my mother and without the family bosom that she gave me. Yes we are working moms; we have to work and leave the children with their mother, grandfather or father, but my children understand very well the value of having their mother and their grandmother.”

Regarding her two little ones, Andrea Nicolás and Eros, who are now five and eleven years old, Paulina shared what a typical day is like in her routine:

“My children are my priority, they know that when I am not working, I go to school for them, I wake up at 7 in the morning to take them, then I take them to karate, we make tents or picnics. I enjoy it so much that I would not change it for anything”, said the singer of Not a single word.

Paulina is recognized as a full woman in her half century of life.

Paulina also revealed that she feels empowered thanks to the support of her audience, but especially when she enjoys her role as a mother in moments that she treasures.

“When I have the love of the public in a concert I feel very powerful and when I have my children on Mother’s Day I feel that my power is infinite.”

After their notorious divorces from Nicolás Vallejo Nágera and Gerardo Bazúa, both parents of their respective children in common, Paulina Rubio has not returned to form a couple, so Chapoy asked her if she was ready to “give herself a chance” in love.

“I’m in no rush, I’m so good in my skin right now. I am fine with my children because they are action and adventure; they need a lot from me, so I don’t want to be distracted right now,” added the singer.

In the sense of life as a couple, Paulina recalled her stormy relationship with Spanish Castings, which she described as toxic. She also admitted that she ignored advice given to her at the time, before getting married, by her mother, actress Susana Dosamantes.

“It was something inevitable, I preferred not to be with him to have something so toxic, mostly because he felt it wasn’t necessary. I was very trusting out of love.
