Much has been made of the rivalry of Paulina Rubio and Thalía and the vast majority of times neither of them has wanted to delve into the reasons for their enmity or what it was that led them to be at odds.

In that sense, the ‘Golden Girl’ was as a guest on Yordi Rosado’s YouTube program, and revealed the reason why she got hitched with her colleague at a Timbiriche concert.

The singer, who is promoting her new song “I am” in Mexico, spoke in the aforementioned program about this fact that it happened when both were members of the popular youth group.

After acknowledging that the now wife of Tommy Mottola was for some time her great friend in the group, she clarified that it was Thalía’s mother who would not let her be her friend. “She said she couldn’t have beautiful friends who didn’t envy her”, uncovered.

Paulina clarified that she never felt envy for her partner, neither for her private life nor for her work projects, and she was more specific, referring that the lawsuits with Thalía were for “boyfriends” issues.

“I don’t remember why we fought that time. Honestly, Thalía and I were going to fight for that or for another reason. So, that was the trigger,” she added.

“But we had stuff stuck with us but it wasn’t whose most important it was. It had a lot to do with the boyfriends, with kissing everyone in the group and with having the boyfriend and kissing the other”, she added.

Regarding the panorama of her current relationship with the interpreter of “Amor a la Mexicana”, Paulina indicated that the old quarrels have been left behind: “We started chatting a couple of years ago, I imagine the rough edges are already smoothed out.”
