Taylor Hawkins, drummer of the rock band Foo Fighters passed away, according to a message posted Friday on the group’s verified Twitter account.
“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live with all of us forever,” the group wrote.

It is unclear how Hawkins died.
Hailing from Washington State, known for songs like “The Pretender” and “Best of You,” the Foo Fighters have had 4 Billboard #1 hits.
