• Oscar-nominated film director Lee Daniels bought this mansion in July 2018

Film director Lee Daniels expects to receive $7.2 million for a mansion in Coldwater Canyon, California, which he purchased in July 2018.

This property was built in the 1950s, but is now in pristine condition thanks to a series of renovations in 2017, a year before it was sold to the director of ‘Precious’ (2009) and ‘The Butler ‘ (2013).

Over the last four years, Daniels has also made some arrangements to make the property meet his tastes and needs. For this job, the producer also hired the services of designer Roxy Sowlaty.

According to the specialized media ‘Architectural Digest’, for the decoration of this mansion some replicas of the furniture that are in Daniels’s luxurious apartment in Manhattan were made and there are also some works by the artist Kehinde Wiley.

The main house has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, TV room, office, and other amenities.

Inside, there are also other eye-catching details like large expanses of wood-paneled glass, a floating steel staircase, fireplace and more.

The kitchen is gourmet with wood cabinets and black marble counter tops. It is also equipped with high-end appliances.

According to records, the master suite is 1,000 square feet in size with a living room with fireplace, private balcony, walk-in closet, and a bathroom with rain-sensing skylights, deep soaking tub, and glass-enclosed shower.

In addition to the main house there is a garage with capacity for two vehicles. There is also an additional library.

Outside there are extensive green areas with a yoga platform, swimming pool, terrace and other ideal spaces to spend time outdoors.
