The famous host Dayanara Torres shared her sadness when remembering the death of her father a few years ago.

With an image of his wedding day in which he was best man and another of him smiling, the happy mother of two children dedicated these words to him.

“How much would I give for one more dance with you, daddy. Today the sky is celebrating! And from here I celebrate you with beer in hand. I love you daddy, forever. Happy birthday, ”he said referring to his eternal love.

José Humberto Torres López passed away in his native Puerto Rico in 2017. Dayanara’s father passed away at the age of 75, after having overcome colon cancer and open heart surgery.

That was a very tough year for the former beauty queen’s family. In September, after the devastating passage of Hurricane María in Puerto Rico, the artist expressed desperation because she was cut off from both her father and her two brothers, Ricky and Jowie. It took more than a week before Dayanara, who was competing in Mira Quien Baila at the time, shared a video along with a message in which she described as “a bucket of joy” having been able to listen to her loved ones. Of his father, he said, that “(he was) even making jokes to make me laugh and so I don’t worry …”.

A few weeks ago, Dayanara Torres was able to get vaccinated against Covid-19 after making her request public.

The model shared on her social networks that after several attempts she had not been able to receive the vaccine in Miami, but it was this Wednesday afternoon that the presenter received her first dose.

According to the magazine Hola !, Dayanara registered on a website that was suggested to her and was able to get vaccinated at the center installed at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Torres could not contain the emotion and shared such good news with his followers.

Dayanara announced last year that she was cancer-free, having fought an intense battle in 2019 against melanoma, better known as skin cancer. After two surgeries and a treatment applied every 21 days for 12 months, the presenter announced that she had finally fought the disease, which was detected in early 2019.
